Day 4

At the first session of the day, participants have received vital information about press releases, presented by the course trainer Sergey Bremer who as a journalist himself has a huge experience in this field.

Here the teams got essential information about how to communicate with press and how to work with social media to get the best results out of the press-release and to have the most effective feedbacks about project or event.

During the rest of the day the groups worked in the same teams as the previous days. Each team had a task to make necessary preparations for the upcoming event according to the team specialty. The PR team had to prepare a press release and a media communication strategy; the Technical and visual team had to prepare a poster for the upcoming concert and develop visual decorations for the event venue. As for the Managers team, they had a task of exploring the local audience, then gather information about the target audience according to the methods used by the industry professionals. This team had to gather all the necessary information from other teams in order to maintain the event budget and keep up the communication between all the teams.

These long sessions were very useful in helping participants to get deeper into the event organization, to use their knowledge in this field and to get new experience through practical work.

At the end of the day all the participants have shared their previous personal experiences in event organization with followed by a brief conclusion about what was the most important points for them in this area. This gave all the participants a chance to have an overlook about their and others experiences in this field, to share their personal experience with the group.

Day 5

The first session of the day was a meeting with the organizers of the local cultural event festival Give & Get. Meeting was held outside of LAMPA space and in more informal atmosphere. During this session participants could get the inside information about large scale event organization. As the festival is not a commercial event, participants were able to find out about how to attract volunteers to work at the festival, to get practical experiences that are connected with social and cultural event organization. Also this was another possibility to exchange contacts and experience with local experienced representatives working in the field of cultural event organization.
